Happiness Is Being A Weekend Warrior: Try It, You’ll Like It!

I am always trying to come up with ways to get students closer to the music. For years I have taken my students & ensembles to play at jams, restaurants, coffee places etc..

We are in a time of pub jams that are ideal for students to go jam, network and generally meet like levels of musicians. I have found that classic rock and blues jams are running rampant throughout most major cities. They are a fun and social way to put to use the tools learned in private lessons.

I introduce many students to these jams for the first time and encourage them to go regularly. Once they taste it, they usually are hooked with the interaction of “live” musicians and their growth really speeds up.

We all know that
for getting stronger, more together, ONE gig is worth a month of rehearsals in the basement!

Well done Christine!
